Darcy’s Story

Darcy was the best and most loving girl. She LOVED butter. If we took the butter tray out of the fridge and she heard it, she’d pop in from nowhere. She was so sweet, always at the front door to greet us. She was a strong soul even though she had epilepsy.

She loved her Lampchop plushie amongst her other toys; she never destroyed them. Even with her tiny pineapple squeaky toy, she loved them all and was so gentle. She sometimes would stalk like a hunting dog and slowly cross the room before I threw a toy for her to fetch. She loved to sunbathe and stand on the stairs when we’d leave, or sit at the gate, observing her 'kingdom'. She was SO gentle when she took her cookies or treats, as gentle as a lamb.

She was very smart, and it almost felt like she KNEW what I’d say. She was always there for me on dark days or moments, as though she knew. She was one of my best friends, and I miss her so much.
